BREAK IN: WALES 16/4/18 - 20/04/2018
Yet again one of our stores has been targetted by theives. This Monday our Wales store was broken into and 9 bikes were taken. They used an angle grinder to cut off the security gate and then cut through the roller shutter door into the showroom. Despite alarms then being triggered and smoke cloaks set off they managed to get 9 bikes loaded into 2 white vans with an army of men from 2 dark coloured cars. The local Police have been exceptional and were close behind them. They have also been incredibly helpful in the aftermath and making sure the premises are safe until the damage was repaired and showrooms secure.
Find below details of the bikes taken. We are not hopeful for their return but lets make these bikes difficult to pass along!
NEW MOTOCROSS ACU RULES! - 15/02/2018
As of this year the ACU have put in place new rules regarding protection.
From this year all riders in ACU motocross will have to wear a chest and back roost protection. Then from 2019 there will be a minimum standard of EN 1402-2 which will incorporate impact protection as well.
If your body protection is not up to standard come into any of our stores today to find some of the top of the range armour from Leatt and Fox. One of our best sellers conforming with this new rule is the Leatt Airfit Body Armour (pictured) which is a super light and manouverable body armour built inside a skin which is super comfortable to wear and all armour is held in place by the tight fitting breathable material. The 3DF protection is soft and moulds to the body but absorbs on impact, and is in the chest, back, elbows, plus padding around the hips, upper arms and shoulders. It is also removable for machine washing the skin. Find these in stock in all our stores.
BREAK IN AT MARK CROSS STORE - 14/11/2017
Unfortunately last night we were victims to another raid at our Mark Cross store in East Sussex. We had unwanted visitors over the weekend who tried to start our forklift and broke into vans. We can only assume they wanted to use the forklift to ram the doors but did not succeed in starting it. The Police thought this was quite an unusual case as they proceeded to steal a Husqvarna Automower.
We had Police out during the day on Monday (13/11/17) who took prints and forensics info. However it appears the criminals were not defeated and returned that night at around 8:20pm, rammed in the doors and walls of the coffee shop showroom and stole 2 Husqvarna TC65's, a TC50 and a TX125. They were in and out within minutes. The Police have attended and we are awaiting more forensics to inspect the damage and take more information. The doors have been made secure but for now the coffee shop will be closed but there will be access for those wanting to look at helmets and Klim clothing.
These are the VIN numbers of the stolen bikes:
TC50 2018: VBKUXA233JM048868 845229547
TC65 2018: VBKUXA233JM051107 846233096
TC65 2018: VBKUXA23XJM050553 846232870
TX125 2018: VBKUTH201JM182126 850416376
We will release more info when we have it. Many thanks to all who shared our Facebook post about it. Everybody stay vigiliant!
Mitch Lewis at the Apico 2 Stroke Festival - 07/08/2017
Well done to Mitch Lewis on taking on the Apico 2 Stroke Festival this weekend and smashing it on his new Yamaha YZ:
"After 4 months of no riding we decided to go down and race at the Apico 2 Stroke Festival and make a weekend of it. We arrived ate Friday night to an amazing sunset and a freshly made track.
On Saturday I qualified 2nd which gave me good gates all weekend long which I was really pleased with. I good a good start in race 1 but unfortunately came together with another rider and wrote off my front wheel!
I was really frustrated but we managed to source a new front wheel in time for race 2. I got another good start in the second race and worked my way to the front. It was about 4 laps and I had a small 'get off' but when I picked the bike up I found the front brake had locked on. After pulling over to the side of the track I removed a stone from the front brake cylinder but I then had a lot of work to do and managed to pull back to 7th.
Sunday was a much better day! We had had rain overnight but woke up to sunshine and the track was in perfect condition.
Race 1 I managed to get the holeshot and from then on I lead from start to finish, it felt good to get the race win again!
Race 2 I had a top 3 start but I pulled some moves out the bag and got myself to the front of the pack. I had some heat from behind mid race but I managed to keep it on 2 wheels this time and bring home the win!
Overall Saturday was not a day to remember by any means but Sunday was much more fun!"

Mitch Lewis at the Maxxis British Championship at Canada Heights - 02/05/2017
Huge congrats to Freestyle ambassador Mitch lewis at the Maxxis British Motocross Championship at Canada Heights this Bank Holiday weekend.
"It was a tough qualifying as the track was shaping more on the hard and slick side but I managed to salvage a 16th please with a few little adjustments towards the end. I didn't get the best of starts for race 1 and ended up second l;ast by the first corner and with lots of work to do, but I got my head down and pulled it back to 14h place.
Race 1 I got a much better start but still room for improvement! I was 20th around the second corner and looking forward to a hard race. After lots of roost I crossed the line in 11th. This gave me 10th place overall which I was very pleased with and was the aim for the day. Nice to have a weekend with no incidents or set backs. Big thanks to everyone who helped out including Freestyle, Michelin, Putoline, Body Clinic, Sonic Enterprises, Apico, LR Designs and Leatt."
Amazingly well ridden by Mitch, up against the big boys!
